The JOY of the LORD is our Strength!!!!

Greetings friends

JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!
The Joy of the Lord is OUR STRENGTH!

It is with great JOY i put these thoughts down for us to all reflect together, saying praise be to God for he is worthy and deserves all the honor and praise. The word of Nehemiah on Chapter 8 verse 10 says that "He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.the italised part b notes that grieve NOT! why?? because the JOY of the Lord is your strength.

if you look at the book of Nehemiah its a book of rebuilding and restoration from the enemies attack and from the 1st chapter the source of the whole project was done and build on the prayer of one man, His name Nehemiah, "which means consoled by GOD!" GOD in all the proceedings of this book is the determining and seasoning factor and we see the same theme being emphasized here in that the JOY of the Lord provides strength for these faithful builders of the walls of Jerusalem after the enemy had once scattered!

Imagine how disheartening it tends to be at times in the midst of rebuilding when opposition and oppression seem to loom bigger than the comfort of our Lord's presence! such was the feel in this context and the word encouraged these people to understand and focus on the never CEASING Joy of the Lord as the source of their STRENGTH!

YOU know what i may not know and understand whatever season or particular areas you are now in your walk with the Lord as you read this article but i am more than convinced that, this same truth which was given to the faithful servant of GOD Nehemiah and the whole team who were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem can season and impact whatever your situation is today, because indeed the JOY  of the Lord is our Strength nothing more and nothing less!

In another encouraging context in the New Testament in the book of 1Thessalonians, "5:16 Always rejoice, 5:17 constantly pray, 5:18 in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." The emphasis here is the rejoicing at all times as a factor of victory as we pray and engage the Father in prayer. JOYFULNESS is the will of God because he himself is the source and Joy itself!

Dare rejoice and focus on the Joy of the Lord in whatever season or situation you are in and you will see how the Lord will work wonders for you and remember to openly testify to many for he deserves all the honor and GLORY! amen and amen
