Monthly Ministry Report November 2012

The STEPS of a righteous person are ordered by the LORD!

Greetings friends

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. 1:4 for he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love 1:5 He did this by predestining us to adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will1:6 to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son. 1:7 in him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace 1:8 that he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. (Ephesians 1v1-8)
Prayer mountain descend!

It is with great rejoicing I write this month’s ministry report, thanking God for his faithfulness to them that He calls to his service! This month has seen us sky rocketing in our faith and ministry influence as God opened new partners and stages for us to exercise his gifts which He has entrusted us with. We continue to tread new grounds with the many confirmations the Lord has placed upon our lives and ministry. An Open Door...

Greetings fellow friends in Christ

ELLIS ROBINS PREFECTS TRAINING
TEAMWORK

[Colossians 4:3-6] says that   2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Its with great joy and humility I write to you. The Lord has been faithful to us as a ministry since the beginning of 2012. We have grown in our service over the past 10 months  in the vineyard of the Lord. With much joy we say praise be to God!!!! who has lavished his strength and grace upon us through it all.
COMMUNICATION

The sum total of all we have been through have drawn us deeper and closer in our relationship and hearing from the Lord. God has faithfully provided for us at our every point of need. And today we testify of God's goodness both in our personal lives and in our ministry as a whole.

God was preparing us for something new through our experiences. We kept on trusting him to usher us into new territory and partnerships. As we prayed and waited upon the Lord he encouraged us from (Isaiah 40v28-31)

28 Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint

TEAM BUILDING
On the 10th of October we received a gift for the ministry from one of our long term ministry partners. In the same week again God brought our new ministry partners James and Prim. We partnered with them for a prefects training at Ellis Robins School from the 12-14 of October. God entrusted us with 21 prefects to minister love, leadership and teamwork to. It was an amazing and humbling experience!

Thank you Lord for your loving kindness and faithfulness to those who abide and wait upon you Oh Lord!

Next up on the 20th of October 2012 is the BOC-YP Schools Conference. Its aimed at ministering and encouraging the exam writing students in Dzivarasekwa. we are excited about this movement and we praying for spirit led partners and wisdom to see the project kick off well for the Glory of God.

Indeed we serve a mighty and able God who ushers us into new territory for his supremacy when we abide and wait upon Him!

Strength to you all

International Sports Leadership Training

A brief about ISLT

ISLT is a new generation of world-wide sports leaders. It focuses on training individuals on best practice sports ministry concepts, strategies and models. Some of the topics covered under the training are: Vision, Influential leadership, Building Effective teams, Team building Activities, Bible & Sports, Explaining the Gospel, Children Youth Community nd Sports (CYCAS), ISC Strategies and Values, etc. The impact and growth of sports ministry around the globe has been tremendous. ISLT is one of the strategies and it comprises of Level 1, 2 & 3. Participants for ISLT level One are drawn from Zimbabwe and those for level two are drawn from Zimbabwe and the SADC region. Level II training will continue to build on skills acquired in Level I. this implies that no one can do level 2 unless he has done the first level. Level three will have participants coming from different parts of the world and is held in Cape Town.

Because of the nature of the training where participants are required to camp, there will be need for a training venue that has a training room, electricity & water, accommodation and a ground for outdoor activities. People are required to pay towards the costs for hiring the venue, food and training material. The cost will solely depend on the venue, etc

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY
Strength to you all.

ISLT level 1 in pictures

Word......

THUS FAR THE LORD HAS BROUGHT US...

BOC-YP Anointed Evening

Greetings friends

Thank you so very much to them that took time to go before the Lord to pray for the evening of prayer we had at DZ Methodist Church this Friday night. We honor and thank God for his faithfulness in our lives and walk with Him. We had 17 people from diffrerent walks of lives all passionate for the supremacy of the Lord who sacrificially gave their evening and night away seeking passionately for the Lord's face!

It was an amazing time just to pray, sing and reflect from the word of the Lord together and learn about the purpose and calling the Father has thrust and entrusted upon our lives. The 1st speaker spoke of the spiritual poorness we possess when we fail to comprehend the richness we posses in Christ!

Hallelujah "praise the Lord"
She spoke on how Jesus prolonged his visit to Lazarus death with four days, and how "he wept" after Mary and Martha said if only you were here my our brother would not have died! Yes he grieved with them for their loss, but further more he grieved for their failure to comprehend His power to raise their brother from the dead even after four days of "sleeping". Mmmmmh how many of us this day curse and shout at how things are unfolding in their lives yet the Father himself grieves at our sight and failure to trust in his full will and assurance for our every moment and life!

The second speaker spoke of the reality of the blessings and curses which a person's annoiting draws towards to them as they serve and walk in their anointing, and how important it is to rest and set our eyes fully and fixed on GOD as we walk in out anointing! How easy it is for many of us to hold on to our anointing when we are enjoying the blessing of our anointing yet we are quick to curse and wage our fists at God when the trials associated with our anointing pursue us! we are called to fully rest on God and look at him at all times as we serve and submit in our anointing.

Lastly the third speaker called the house to an intentional daily walk in the will of God by again fixing our eyes on God and his leading as we walk in the anointing of our calling to minister on behalf of the King of Kings and creator of the whole universe! No-matter how painful the road of the anointing may be, Moses in Exodus 9, raised his hands towards heaven and the Lord won on their behalf their battle against the Amelikites!

Thank you Lord for choosing to use us
In a nutshell we evening of prayer called those walking in their anointing to look to God as their strength as they brave on the task of ministering to many for the glory and supremacy of God. God thank you for an anointed time we experienced in the midst of like minded fellow workers in the mission field this weekend, continue to go before us in Jesus name amen!

The JOY of the LORD is our Strength!!!!

Greetings friends

JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!
The Joy of the Lord is OUR STRENGTH!

It is with great JOY i put these thoughts down for us to all reflect together, saying praise be to God for he is worthy and deserves all the honor and praise. The word of Nehemiah on Chapter 8 verse 10 says that "He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.the italised part b notes that grieve NOT! why?? because the JOY of the Lord is your strength.

if you look at the book of Nehemiah its a book of rebuilding and restoration from the enemies attack and from the 1st chapter the source of the whole project was done and build on the prayer of one man, His name Nehemiah, "which means consoled by GOD!" GOD in all the proceedings of this book is the determining and seasoning factor and we see the same theme being emphasized here in that the JOY of the Lord provides strength for these faithful builders of the walls of Jerusalem after the enemy had once scattered!

Imagine how disheartening it tends to be at times in the midst of rebuilding when opposition and oppression seem to loom bigger than the comfort of our Lord's presence! such was the feel in this context and the word encouraged these people to understand and focus on the never CEASING Joy of the Lord as the source of their STRENGTH!

YOU know what i may not know and understand whatever season or particular areas you are now in your walk with the Lord as you read this article but i am more than convinced that, this same truth which was given to the faithful servant of GOD Nehemiah and the whole team who were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem can season and impact whatever your situation is today, because indeed the JOY  of the Lord is our Strength nothing more and nothing less!

In another encouraging context in the New Testament in the book of 1Thessalonians, "5:16 Always rejoice, 5:17 constantly pray, 5:18 in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." The emphasis here is the rejoicing at all times as a factor of victory as we pray and engage the Father in prayer. JOYFULNESS is the will of God because he himself is the source and Joy itself!

Dare rejoice and focus on the Joy of the Lord in whatever season or situation you are in and you will see how the Lord will work wonders for you and remember to openly testify to many for he deserves all the honor and GLORY! amen and amen

UPCOMING events to PRAY for:

  • Gift money proposal writing to the International Sports Coalition for level 2 training for August 2013

  • Ministry and partnership proposals and meetings in the coming two weeks

Ministry efforts through SPORT in Zimbabwe 2010-2015

Ministry efforts in Zimbabwe 2010-2015
PASSIONATE FOR GOD!!!

Training and discipleship efforts are still vital in the use of sports ministry to impact Zimbabwe with the gospel. Since the start of the sports ministry movement in Zimbabwe 5 years ago, three people have gone through ISLS, Peter Muruko, Tobias Sheta and Archieford Muchaka in their different capacities they all have assumed the task of equipping their fellow country-men and women on the use of sport and game in ministry.

Since 2010 we have done a number of envisioning in Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, Banket, Chinhoyi, Mutare and Marondera. This has led to our level 1 and 2 trainings to those who were eager to participate more in the kingdom through sports ministry activities.

During the 2010 Soccer World Cup period Sports Coalition of Zimbabwe (SCOZ) in partnership with Operation Mobilisation Zimbabwe engaged pastors and their congregations to envision them on the use of sport ministry as an outreach tool to evangelise and disciple communities.

Amazing huge testimonies were born out of this partnership and to date this partnership has grown into a more intentional effort in that since 2011 for the coming five years OM and SCOZ have agreed to do levels 1 and 2 every April and August annually in-order to initially grow a well discipled leadership base which will in turn facilitate sports ministry movement in Zimbabwe. We have successfully done so in 2011 and this year and have seen a total of 30 level 1 and 2 leaders trained to date

It has been an exciting learning curve for us as the ministry facilitation team and even so for those who have gone through the training since last year. It has been a challenge and shift from the usual and traditional way of doing things. We testify to have grown and to still being transformed as we partner with different churches and other ministries for kingdom based discipleship with the Lord being our constant encouragement.

Success areas:
  • ·      We have seen various people support us in the training efforts, International Sports Coalition, Sports Outreach Africa, Sports for Christ South Africa, Zambia sports coalition, Operation Mobilisation, Hands Of Hope, Ambassadors in Sports, Youth for Christ, Gateway Christian College and various churches expressing interest to be envisioned and trained.
  • ·         Level 1 and 2 trainings in Harare and Bulawayo and Banket
  • ·         Regular monthly ministry engagements as the Lord provided opportunities

Pending focus areas:
  • ·         On the ground ministry team and constant prayer team
  • ·         A more intentional approach to discipling leaders who will in turn do the same to others
  • ·         Regular engagement with churches monthly
  • ·         Consistent resource and support base
  • ·         Self sustaining sports ministry city hubs
Our desire:

  • ·      Set-up a sports hub in five cities in Zimbabwe by 2015 Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo and Gweru which will effectively facilitate sport ministry activities in these areas in and through the church
  • ·         Partner with and train other ministries to achieve effective discipleship through sports ministries programmes
  • ·         Engage schools to offer whole life coaching and team-building skills to physical education teachers
  • ·       Partner with churches, schools and other children and youth focused ministries to nurture and disciple children and young people in orphanages, churches and schools through sports ministry programmes
  • ·         Set up a training campsite in Rusape supported by a horticulture and dairy income projects
